Under the fancy dress, the latest jean fad or sneakers with holes, there is a heart.  There is a story.  There is a person wanting love in their life.  There is blood flowing through their veins.  Just like you.  Just like me.  There is a person wanting ease and peace in their life.  They need air, food, and water to live.  Just like you.  Just like me.  Whether you are dressed to the nines in a gown adorned with jewels, a loin cloth or a t-shirt and ripped jeans, let compassion be prevalent in your fashion.  Just like you.  Just like me, everyone has a story.  A story as to where they are, why they are and who they are. And beneath that story is a heart.  Wear what you want to wear.  Let what you wear be an expression of your heart.  I just ask that you add compassion as part!  We never know another person’s story.  Open your heart and find a connection with others who may appear different on the outside.  Just like you.  Just like me.  They too have a heart.
An invitation:
The next time you catch yourself judging another person for their looks or what they are wearing, smile.  Connect to your heart, then imagine connecting to the other person’s heart.  Find a deep soul to soul connection and breathe.  Creating this connection and not judging will generate peace within you and on the planet.
I was deciding whether or not to publish my blog this week or not because of the acts of violence that occurred recently.  Clearly I decided to go ahead.  When someone commits an act of violence, it is either to control or instill fear.  Either way, I am not living in fear.
Sending love and peace out to Paris and the world (including myself!)
Much love and gratitude for my dear friends Sarah and Leigh Anne for making this video with me! I love you!  xo
